About this postcard
The scan shows the address side of an undivided-back United States government postal card, headed by an engraved ribbon-and-scroll "POSTAL CARD" design with the instruction "NOTHING BUT THE ADDRESS CAN BE PLACED ON THIS SIDE." A circular New York postmark dated APR 10, 3:30 PM, cancels a black one-cent stamp at the upper right, and the card is addressed in ink to R. P. Fuller Esq. Government postal cards of this one-cent, undivided-back style were issued in the first decade of the twentieth century, before the divided-back cards that allowed a message on the address side became standard in 1907.
