The Utah State Capitol stands on Capitol Hill above Salt Lake City, a Corinthian-style building with a ribbed dome, long colonnades, and a projecting central portico. A landscaped lawn with flower beds and flags spreads before it, and the Wasatch Range rises behind. The caption notes the commanding view over the whole Salt Lake Valley. Completed and formally opened to the public on October 9, 1916, the capitol was designed by Richard K.A. Kletting; its exterior has fifty-two granite columns, and the dome measures 64 feet across.
Linen-textured stock with a cream border; Curt Teich production code "4A-H316" at lower right.
No postmark; divided back; linen texture; white border; minor staining upper left.
