An elevated view from City Park looks down on the East Bottom, the lowland along the Missouri River east of downtown Kansas City known as the East Bottoms. Trees frame the foreground, with low commercial and industrial buildings, smokestacks, and a large brewery-type building carrying a rooftop sign spread below. In the early 1900s this district was Kansas City's industrial quarter, tied to breweries, packing houses, and the rail yards that served the river and downtown.
Black-and-white halftone print with a wide white border at the bottom carrying the caption in red; light corner wear.
No postmark. Undivided back with 'THIS SIDE IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE ADDRESS' and stamp box 'DOMESTIC ONE CENT / FOREIGN TWO CENTS' — circa 1901–1907 private mailing card era. Cream matte stock, white border on front; light corner/edge wear, no writing.
