About this postcard

A quiet stretch of Perkiomen Creek at Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, seen from the bank. Dark trees frame the left side and overhang the top, while the still water mirrors the wooded far shore. Schwenksville is a small Montgomery County village on the Perkiomen, a Schuylkill River tributary that once supported mills and later drew vacationers from nearby cities. Sara writes that she is on a return vacation and calls the spot ideal for recuperating after a steady summer of work. She mentions fine weather, wonders about the Kellers, and invites her friend to come over to North Carolina.
