About this postcard

Looking west from the North Bridge in Sac City, Iowa, the view crosses calm water with dense trees along the far bank and a low building partly hidden among them. Reflections of the trees darken the surface. The caption names only the bridge and direction, leaving the waterway unidentified; this is a quiet edge-of-town prospect rather than a street or town view. Sac City was a small county seat in northwest Iowa, and local bridge and river views were common postcard subjects in the early 1900s.
