The card, captioned "WALL STREET, N.Y.CITY.", shows a busy early-20th-century view down Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, with pedestrians, horse-drawn vehicles, and automobiles crowding the roadway between tall office buildings. Trinity Church's Gothic spire rises at the foot of the street, a familiar landmark at Broadway and Wall Street. Wall Street was already the center of American finance, and the dense building canyon reflects the district's commercial growth in the period.
