About this postcard
A view down Walnut Street from Third Street in Cincinnati, framed by tall early-20th-century office blocks: a brick high-rise on the left, a red-brick and buff-colored block in the middle distance, and a massive gray steel-framed skyscraper filling the right side. Two green streetcars and scattered pedestrians occupy the street below, and a faded painted sign reading "S. Co. Jewelers" covers the side wall of the near brick building. Walnut Street was one of downtown Cincinnati's principal commercial thoroughfares, lined with department stores, jewelers and office buildings in the years before World War I.
