An elevated view looks down on the Waltham Watch Company works: rows of long, multi-story brick mill buildings, tall smokestacks, and a clock tower, with the Charles River, shade trees, and the roofs of nearby houses along the edges of the plant.
The company was an early and influential user of interchangeable parts in watchmaking, the American system of manufacture, and by the early 1900s its Waltham works ranked among the largest watch factories in the world, employing thousands of the town's residents.
White border; sepia-toned aerial halftone; light edge and corner wear.
No postmark; card is unused and blank on the address side. Divided-back real-photo ("Genuine Photo") card, glossy surface, light edge wear and slight toning.
