About this postcard
A long red-brick factory building with rows of windows stretches along a snowy street in Waltham, Massachusetts. A square tower rises at the left end of the block, with a chimney and another tower farther down the row. Bare winter trees and a white picket fence stand between the building and the streetcar tracks in the foreground. Waltham was known as "Watch City" in the early 1900s, when the Waltham Watch Company's interchangeable-part watches made it one of the country's leading watch manufacturers.
