About this postcard
Two views show a mixed-doubles water-ski stunt at Cypress Gardens, Florida. A man in white trunks rides yellow skis while carrying a woman in a white bathing suit and cap across his arms; she extends one arm in a red sleeve-like glove. A wider view catches the pair throwing spray, and a closer view repeats the pose. The printed caption calls the performers "aquamaids and champions" on an "exciting tandem ride." Cypress Gardens, near Winter Haven, opened in the 1930s as a botanical garden and became known for staged water-ski exhibitions, where tandem and acrobatic acts entertained mid-century tourists.
