A small waterfall spills through a notch in reddish-brown sandstone ledges, breaking into white cascades over tumbled boulders before pooling at the bottom of the frame. Conifers and leafy green trees crowd the top of the rock wall under a clear blue sky, and a few small blossoms dot the sandy foreground. The scene resembles the red-rock canyons of the American Southwest and Rocky Mountain region, though the card itself names no location.

No postmark; unused divided-back card. Natural Color postcard, E.C. Kropp Co. imprint, U.S. Forest Service photo; linen-textured stock, light edge wear only.
