About this postcard

A small stone chapel with a bell-cote and rose window sits among lawns, flower beds and trees, with a tall white tower on the hill behind it. The card names it the "Wee Kirk o' the Heather" at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. The Wee Kirk, a replica of the 14th-century church at Glencairn, Scotland, was dedicated in 1929 and became one of the most photographed buildings at Forest Lawn, the memorial park founded in 1906 by Hubert Eaton; the tower on the ridge is the park's Great Mausoleum area landmark.
