Willoughby Lake, Westmore, VT, 1917

About this postcard

A view across the pale water of Willoughby Lake toward low green hills, framed by dark foliage in the foreground and a leafy branch at upper right. The card names the scene as Willoughby Lake at Westmore, Vermont, a deep glacial lake in the Northeast Kingdom whose steep flanking peaks, Mount Pisgah and Mount Hor, have long made it a noted scenic destination. The tinted, stippled printing is typical of inexpensive view cards of the early twentieth century.
