About this postcard

A paved road curves through a wooded hillside, bordered by a low white guard rail, with a broad river and tree-covered bluffs visible beyond the trees under a pale sunset sky. Little Falls, Minnesota, sits on the Mississippi River at a set of falls and is known as the boyhood home of aviator Charles Lindbergh. The sender calls the scene one of the local drives and mentions a day of fishing, a casual note that ties the view to ordinary outings in 1929.
