An elevated view along the crest of Wolf Creek Dam, a concrete dam with spillway bays and piers running diagonally across the frame. Lake Cumberland spreads behind it into wooded hills, with a low powerhouse and tailrace channel at the lower left. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the dam across the Cumberland River in southeastern Kentucky, creating a reservoir whose long shoreline made it a regional destination for fishing, boating, and swimming.
