About this postcard

A view across the still blue water of Wychmere Harbor, with a fleet of small sloops and catboats and a few motor launches moored or drifting at anchor. Along the far shore stands a row of shingled and gabled summer cottages and boathouses among trees, and in the foreground a grassy bank with pink flowers frames the water. Wychmere Harbor is a small, nearly landlocked salt pond on Nantucket Sound at Harwich Port, long used as a sheltered anchorage for the Cape Cod summer colony's pleasure boats.
