Young man helping a girl down from a tree, comic postcard, circa 1910

Card type
Printed photo

About this postcard

A tinted photograph shows a young man in a dark suit and cap standing beneath a large tree, reaching up to help a smiling young woman in a white blouse and dark skirt down from a branch; a park-like grove of trees fills the background. The printed line "You are a nice kid and I like you" turns the scene into a light romantic joke typical of early twentieth-century comic postcards. The image is printed in a two-tone red and green palette within a red border.
